A six-member PACE delegation, led by Tiny Kox (Netherlands, UEL), will carry out a pre-electoral mission to Turkey to assess the election campaign and political climate prior to the parliamentary elections on 7 June. In Ankara, the delegation is due to meet the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly, the Minister of the Interior, the Turkish delegation to PACE, as well as leaders and representatives of the main political parties participating in the elections. Talks are also scheduled with the Chairman and members of the Supreme Board of Elections, and representatives of the media, NGOs and the diplomatic community.
