A seven-member PACE delegation, led by Elisabeth Schneider-Schneiter (Switzerland, EPP/CD), will carry out a pre-electoral mission to Chisinau, to assess the election campaign and political climate prior to the presidential election on 30 October. The delegation is due to meet, in particular,  the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the main presidential candidates and leaders of political parties.
The delegation will issue a statement at the end of the visit.
