PACE will organise a conference on “Online hate, conspiracy theories and declining confidence in the media” in Berlin, in conjunction with the Bundestag, as part of the activities of the No Hate Parliamentary Alliance. Speakers will include Caren Marks, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth; Gerd Billen, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection; Axel Fischer (Germany, EPP/CD), Chair of the German delegation to PACE; Gabriela Heinrich (Germany, SOC), the initiator of the conference; and other members of the Bundestag. The conference, which will be held at the Bundestag in Berlin (Marie-Elisabeth Lüders Building), will be open to the press.
