In a joint meeting with the European Parliament Conference of Presidents, the PACE Presidential Committee will discuss the following issue: seeking synergies between the Council of Europe and the EU with regard to the respect of fundamental rights, perspectives of co-operation between the Council of Europe and the EU following the 3rd Eastern Partnership Summit of the EU in Vilnius, and the rise of extremist rhetoric and hate speech in political discourse.
