The Committee will organise a hearing on challenges of a federal Europe, in the context of the preparation of the report by Andreas Gross (Switzerland, SOC) on this issue. Parliamentarians are due to adopt the report by Tiny Kox (Netherlands, UEL) on the evaluation of the partnership for democracy in respect of the Palestinian National Council. Other items on the agenda include the political transition in Egypt, the persecution of Christians and the diminishing of Christian communities in the Muslim world, counteraction to manifestations of neo-Nazism and xenophobia, and the request for partner for democracy status with PACE submitted by the kyrgyz Parliament.
