The committee is due to adopt a report by Jean-Marie Bockel, (France, EPP/CD) on the humanitarian consequences of the actions of the terrorist group “Islamic State”. The parliamentarians will hold an exchange of views with Gert Westerveen, UNHCR Representative to the European Institutions in Strasbourg.

In the framework of the preparation of a report by Jim Sheridan (United Kingdom, SOC) on “Missing persons during the conflict in Ukraine”, the committee will organise a hearing with representatives of the main Investigative Division of the Security Service of Ukraine, the “Vostok-SOS” NGO, the Executive Director of the Saint Petersburg Regional Human Rights Organisation "Soldiers' Mothers of St. Petersburg", and the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights of the Crimean Tatar People.
