A 21-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Alfred Heer (Switzerland, ALDE), will travel to North Macedonia from 6 to 9 May to observe the parliamentary elections and second round of the presidential election, alongside observers from the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the European Parliament, and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The delegation will meet candidates competing in the presidential election, leaders and representatives of political parties, the Chairman of the State Election Commission, as well as representatives of civil society and the media, before observing the ballot on 8 May.

An expert of the Venice Commission – the Council of Europe's group of independent legal experts – will provide legal support during the visit.
