In addition to the Council of Europe’s official traineeship programme (see below for further information), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe welcomes trainees at any time of the year for a maximum of 8 weeks.
Nationals of the member States of the Council of Europe (please see: https://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/47-members-states).
The duties to which trainees are assigned include assisting with different types of drafting, research and the preparation of activities.
The Parliamentary Assembly does not pay trainees who are offered a place under this specific programme. However, all trainees are insured against the risks of sickness and accident for the duration of the traineeship. Trainees are allowed 2 days leave per month. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.

The Council of Europe’s official traineeship programme: offers a limited number of paid traineeships which last from eight weeks to five months in the Council of Europe’s administrative entities (including PACE). Please note: In order to enable the largest number of applicants to benefit from an opportunity for a traineeship at the Council of Europe, nobody may undertake more than one traineeship in the Organisation, whatever form it may take.
