PACE President welcomes the good co-operation between the Council of Europe and Monaco

At the end of his working visit to Monaco, in the margins of the Conference on the Council of Europe Strategy for the Rights of the Child 2012-2015, PACE President today met with the Minister of State Michel Roger and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Badia.

Mr Cavusoglu praised “the commitment of the Monegasque authorities” to the Council of Europe standards and values, as exemplified by their strong involvement in and support to the Council of Europe's activities on children. He stressed the commitment of the authorities at the highest level, as well as personal support of HRH Princess of Hanover, as “a good indication for the success of the Strategy”.

PACE President welcomed the good co-operation between the Council of Europe and the Monegasque authorities, in particular, within the framework of the post-monitoring dialogue and stressed the need to continue reforms “in order to implement the remaining Assembly recommendations relating to outstanding commitments”.

In this respect, the elaboration of a concrete roadmap, with clear objectives, measures and deadlines, he said, could be “an efficient tool to streamline the reforms and fulfil Assembly’s recommendations”. The Assembly stands ready, he concluded, to support the Monegasque authorities in this respect.
