The Assembly,

Whereas since the year 1953 the Council of Europe has annually awarded a number of fellowships for the promotion of research in the various fields of activity associated with the aims of its Statute;

Whereas from the outset only a single fellowship has been awarded for work in the agricultural sphere,

Recommends that the Committee of Ministers :

1 contemplate increasing the number of fellowships awarded annually by the Council of Europe, so that every year several such fellowships may be granted for work relating to agricultural questions;

2 endeavour, by means of suitable publicity, to make the existence of Council of Europe Fellowships more widely known in European agricultural circles.
