Urgency for taking into consideration the Nagorno-Karabakh problem in the context of the development of regional relations

Taking note of the:

  • increasing international initiatives in the direction of the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the countries in the region;
  • efforts in the direction of the agreed “road maps” edited for the benefit of the improvement of the relations between the countries in the region;
  • notable place of Azerbaijan in ensuring peace, stability and co-operation in the South Caucasus region;
  • the decisive role of Azerbaijan in the economic – including energy – projects of regional and European importance;
  • non-negotiable essence of the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

In order to ensure real outcomes from the approvable inter-state collaborative efforts, the establishment and development of which is foreseen between countries in the region;

It is strongly recommended:

  • taking into consideration without delay the Nagorno-Karabakh problem in the above-mentioned framework;
  • to co-ordinate the possible perspectives of the regional co-operation with the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem in line with the norms and principles of international law as well as with the related decisions and resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council, OSCE, the Council of Europe and other international organisations.
