The Assembly,
Considering the problems raised in connection with international trade in livestock and animal products by discrepancies in the legislation and practice of different countries
Appreciating the effort made by various authorities in the past thirty years to find a solution to this problem;
Believing that the matter has become more urgent in view of the probable future trend of international trade,
Recommends that the Committee of Ministers urge member Governments to consider how existing regulations governing trade in livestock and animal products might be improved.
