The Assembly,
1. Having regard to the report of its Committee on Economic Affairs and Development on multinational corporations (Doc. 3762) ;
2. Noting that on 24 March 1976 the Committee on Economic Affairs and Development held a hearing of representatives from multinational companies, international trade unions and employers' organisations and certain intergovernmental organisations concerned ;
3. Drawing attention to the fact that OECD is working out "Guidelines for multinational enterprises", and that other international organisations are also studying various aspects of the operations of multinational corporations,
4. Instructs the Committee on Economic Affairs and Development, in consultation with the Legal Affairs Committee and the Committee on Science and Technology, to submit to the second part of its 28th Session a draft resolution and/or a draft recommendation on multinational corporations, taking due account of Doc. 3762, of its debate on this report, of the results of the hearing and of the work of the other international organisations concerned.
