The Assembly,

1. Recalling its Recommendation 968 (1983), on xenophobic attitudes and movements in member countries with regard to migrant workers, and its Order No. 420 (1983),

2. Invites its Committee on Migration, Refugees and Demography, in collaboration with the Committee on the Environment, Regional Planning and Local Authorities, the Committee on Culture and Education, the Legal Affairs Committee and the Committee on Parliamentary and Public Relations, to organise an event in 1987 which would :

a bring to light the intercommunity and intercultural experiences achieved in different member countries ;

b bring together the representatives of all interested parties ;

c c.encourage the launching of national campaigns for a multicultural society.
