The Consultative Assembly,
Considering that one of the declared aims of the Council of Europe is to bring about closer union among its members and to foster the economic development of their countries
Instructs its Committee on Economic Questions to study the present possibilities of building a Channel Tunnel together with the advantages accruing from such underwater means of communication.
