The Assembly,
1. Emphasising the importance of the role of parliaments in the conservation of the architectural heritage ;
2. Recalling its Resolution 667 (1977), and welcoming the establishment in most of the parliaments of the member states of all-party groups actively interested in this subject,
3. Expresses the hope that members of parliament will study the proposals contained in its Recommendation 880 (1979), on the conservation of the European architectural heritage, and will use to the full their powers and influence to promote the legislation and administrative action required for the effective protection of Europe's precious and irreplaceable architectural heritage.
