This Assembly of free peoples,
Pledging its support of the United Nations in their resistance to aggression in Korea or wherever else it may arise;
Repudiating any attempts to achieve international settlements by appeasement of aggressors;
And resolute in the determination of its members to undertake whatever burdens may be necessary for their individual and collective defence ;
Affirms the profound desire of its Members :
To live in peace with each other and with their neighbours;
To promote by every means in their power the peaceful settlement of outstanding differences between the nations;
To support the United Nations in seeking to establish the complete independence of the Korean peoples;
And to persevere in their striving to create conditions for a secure, a peaceful and a prosperous life for all.
