In the draft resolution, after paragraph 7, insert the following paragraph:

"The Parliamentary Assembly deplores the situation regarding the places of worship of Georgians in Abkhazia, Georgia and South Ossetia, Georgia, which also raises serious concerns over the situation of cultural heritage monuments in the war-affected areas."

Explanatory note

As this is a new development since the adoption of the last Resolution on the Humanitarian Consequences of the war, the situation of historic places of worhip of Georgia in the war-affected areas, as reported by Icomos-Russia and Icomos Georgia, should be duly reflected.
