Explanatory note

Relevant media NGOs and Human Rights Defenders do not confirm an excessive application of legal actions on defamation under related civil law in the Republic of Moldova in the past two and a half years but attest to the development of appropriate legal mechanisms and tools for self-regulation and extra-judiciary mediation.
