In the draft resolution, replace paragraph 3 with the following paragraph:
"The Assembly voices its sorrow at the staggering number of innocent casualties in the Gaza Strip and condemns the disproportionate nature of the Israeli response to the terrorist attack on 7 October. The Assembly also realises that, to many, the displacement of 85% of Gaza’s population, caused by the present war, has revived memories of the Nakba."
Explanatory note
The condemnations must be balanced between the attack on 7 October and the disproportionate response. The remark about the number of displaced persons is mentioned in another amendment: we can quantify it.
