In the draft resolution, paragraph 5, third sentence, replace the words "hundreds of Palestinians have been arrested on security grounds" with the following words:

"thousands of Palestinians have been arrested".

Explanatory note

Delete "on security grounds". This is much more complex than this statement, which accepts the Israeli arguments criticised by many international organisations. The figure is 5 000 (so not hundreds but thousands).
