The Assembly,
Having before it the Report of the Sub-Committee on the Simplification of Frontier Formalities for Travellers, submitted by Mr. Hyde, and transmitted by the Committee on Legal and Administrative Questions;
Having noted, in particular, the proposals contained in the Report referring to the abolition of visas (paragraphs 22 to 25), the abolition of the passport requirement for travel within certain groups of States (paragraphs 38 to 43), increased facilities for travellers to carry articles other than personal effects (paragraphs 65 to 67), concessions as regards tobacco, cigarettes, and spirits (paragraph 68), foreign currency allowances and currency control (paragraph 73), t he acceptance by all Member States of the recommendations of the 1947 Conference of Experts and their accession to, or ratification of, as the case may be, the Convention signed at Geneva in 1952 (paragraph 85) ;
