Establishment of a report on the situation of refugees

The Assembly,

Having regard to the number of refugees still remaining in camps in Europe;

Having regard to the proposals which it'has made itself, and to the work done by other international organisations, for assistance to refugees;

Considering it desirable to make a new effort to liquidate the refugee problem in Europe,** U

Instructs its Social Committee to present to it a short report, prepared in collaboration with the other international organisations concerned, which will show succinctly :

1 how many refugees are still remaining in camps in Europe and where they are situated ;

2 what is being done to find permanent homes and, where possible, permanent employment for them; and

3 what further action, including the granting of funds, is necessary in order to settle, once and for all the refugee problem in Europe.
