The Assembly,

1. Having regard to the report of its Political Affairs Committee (Doc. 3478);

2. Recalling its constant readiness to further East-West dialogue;

3. Taking note of attempts to hold European conferences, with the participation of parliamentarians, devoted to security and cooperation in Europe,

4. Invites national delegations:

a to follow carefully the activities of these European conferences;

b to take into account in their own contributions to these activities the work done in this field by existing European parliamentary organisations;

5. Instructs the Political Affairs Committee to investigate the possibility of holding a Round Table discussion to be attended by politicians from East and West on future prospects for East-West cooperation.
