1. Meeting in accordance with the provisions of Rule 6 of the Rules of Procedure, the Committee appointed for the checking of credentials examined those of the new Representatives and Substitutes to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe.
2. France, Ireland, Italy and Norway have transmitted new credentials certified by their Ministers for Foreign Affairs.

a France, as a result of elections to the Senate of the Republic and to the Senate of the Community, has appointed as full members MM. Diop and Wach in place of MM. Pezet and Senghor; MM. Bru, Dardel and N'Gounio have been appointed as Substitutes in place of MM. Chazette and Diallo.
b Ireland has appointed as full member Mr. Vivion de Valera in place of Mr. Lynch, who has resigned.
c Italy has appointed as full members MM. Cadorna, Cerulli Irelli, Gonella, Jannuzzi, Massimo Lancellotti, Piccioni and Ponti in place of MM. Boggiano Pico and Canevari who have resigned, of M. Cingolani, and of MM. Nachucci and Spallicci who have resigned; MM. Angelini, Basile, Cingolani, Molinari, Mott, Salari, Vallauri and Valmarana have been appointed as Substitutes in place of M. Carmagnola who has resigned, of M. Cerulli Irelli, of MM. De Bosio and Giardina who have resigned, of M. Jannuzzi and of MM. Tartufoli and Turani who have resigned.
d Norway has appointed as Substit u t e M. Boyum in place of M. Roiseland who has resigned.
4. No objection having been raised, the Committee unanimously proposed that the Assembly confirm the validity of the appointment of the following Representatives and Substitutes :
