The Assembly,
Having been requested by the Committee of Ministers to give an Opinion on the draft Convention on Social and Medical Assistance,
Expresses the opinion that this draft Convention is entirely satisfactory and may be approved in its present form;
Recommends the Committee of Ministers to sign this draft Convention as soon as possible and to take immediate steps for its ratification;
Trusts that those Governments which have made reservations will, nevertheless, apply the Convention to the fullest extent compatible with the situation in their respective countries.
