14/10/2022 | 10:38:27 Thank you, Chairperson, I want to very warmly welcome this report. It's very timely. I really admire the detail in terms of covering so many key issues in terms of our labour markets today. In the short time available I want to focus on two issues. The first is platform working. As you know, platform workers don't get a pension, they don't get sick leave, they don't get paternity leave or maternity leave, they don't get redundancy. You can see lines of food delivery workers in Dublin queuing... 13/10/2022 | 16:50:47 Thanks indeed, Mister Chairperson. On behalf of the United European Left, I want to warmly welcome this report and indeed congratulate the rapporteur. This report is both timely and crucial because today this assembly gets the opportunity to send a clear and hopefully united message to the British government regarding the absolute need to respect human rights, respect the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights, protect the Good Friday agreements, and refrain from taking unilateral... 13/10/2022 | 15:42:00 Thanks indeed, Mister Chairperson. Europe, and indeed the world, has been witnessing this year a strong increase of people on the move due to armed conflicts, violence, poverty and hunger, as well as climate change. The numbers of persons seeking international protection in members States of the Council of Europe has risen sharply this year. In this context, the joint debate this afternoon is of great value. It... 10/10/2022 | 16:18:49 Good afternoon and thank you, Madam Chairperson. On 12 September 2022, a series of clashes erupted between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops on Armenian territory. The violence resulted in nearly 300 deaths and dozens of injuries on both sides over a three-day period. At least 204 Armenian servicemen were killed or missing, while Azerbaijan acknowledged 80 fatalities amongst its forces, bringing the total number killed to at least 284. A ceasefire brokered by Russia on 13 September broke down...
