Strasbourg, 24.01.2010 – Following the adoption of its agenda this morning, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will debate the report by Dick Marty (Switzerland, ALDE) on “Inhuman treatment of people and illicit trafficking in human organs in Kosovo” on Tuesday 25 January at 10 a.m., instead of at 3 p.m. as originally foreseen.
The vote should take place around 4 p.m, and Mr Marty will give a press conference at 4.30 p.m. (Room 1, Palais de l’Europe) along with Jean-Charles Gardetto (Monaco, EPP/CD), rapporteur on “The protection of witnesses as a cornerstone for justice and reconciliation in the Balkans” and Christos Pourgourides (Cyprus, EPP/CD), Chairperson of the Assembly’s Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights.

Both debate and press conference will be webcast live at the WebTV page on the Council of Europe web portal, in the original language, English and French (as well as German, Italian and Russian for the debate).
The result of the vote, any adopted text and a verbatim record of the debate (in English and French) will be posted on the Assembly’s website as soon as they become available.
A video recording of the press conference will also be posted around two hours after it takes place on this page.
TV/radio
No television cameras are permitted in the Chamber, though accredited TV crews may film from the Visitors’ Gallery. High-quality video or audio footage of plenary proceedings can be requested from the Council of Europe Audiovisual Service (e-mail [email protected], tel. +33 3 88 41 35 00). Bookings for limited studio and editing facilities can also be made. Highlights of the debate and the press conference will be made available as soon as possible through the Eurovision (EBU) network.
