Strasbourg, 11.01.2013 – The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Jean-Claude Mignon, has expressed his consternation following the killing of three Kurdish activists in Paris.
“I am appalled by the execution of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Söylemez. This shocking news comes just as the Turkish authorities have launched fresh talks with Abdullah Öcalan. This drama calls on us to step up our efforts to support the dialogue that has begun in Turkey”, he stated.
