The Assembly decided today to grant the right to two representatives of the political forces elected to the Kosovo* Assembly, one representing the majority and one the opposition, to participate in PACE committee meetings (with the exception of the Monitoring Committee and the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs), regardless of the questions raised on the agenda. These two representatives will have no right to vote but will be able to take the floor in committee meetings upon the authorisation of the Chairperson.
The designation of these representatives is to be decided by the respective groups within the Kosovo* Assembly themselves, including representatives of minorities.
* Any references to Kosovo in this text, whether to the territory, institutions or population, shall be understood in full compliance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and without prejudice to the status of Kosovo.
