The Council of Europe Flag of Honour will be awarded to the Polish municipality of Jabłonka on Sunday 20st July.
Franciszek Adamczyk, honorary member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), and former Chairman of the PACE Committee on the Europe Prize, will present this distinction to Jabłonka as a reward for its commitments to Europe. The town is twinned with five municipalities and is member of the Association of Polish and Slovakian Tatra Euroregion cities, whose role is to promote cultural exchanges, sporting and environmental contact between the two countries.
