Łódź, the third largest city in Poland, will be awarded the Plaque of Honour of the Council of Europe on Friday 25 July.
Edeltraud Gatterer, honorary member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and former Austrian Deputy will present the Plaque to the Mayor which recognises the efforts of this city for Europe in developing more than fifteen twinnings. It is also a member of several international organisations or associations such as Eurocities and the Association of Polish cities.
