The Hungarian city of Ajka (Veszprem County) is to be awarded the Council of Europe Plaque of Honour on 4 October. It is Edeltraud Gatterer, former Austrian Deputy and Honorary Member of the Parliamentary Assembly, who will present the Plaque that will reward the European efforts of this city, who have developed a good cooperation with its four sister cities in Austria (Weiz), Finland (Rovaniemi), Romania (Szekelykeresztur) and Germany (Unna).
