The Spanish city of Lleida will receive the Plaque of Honour of the Council of Europe (awarded in 2012) at a ceremony on Thursday, 16 October 2014.
Llibert Cuatrecasas, former Spanish Deputy and Honorary Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will present the Plaque to reward the European efforts of this city, which has developed close co-operation with its three twin towns in Italy (Ferrara) and France (Foix and Perpignan).
