Andreas Gross (Switzerland, SOC), rapporteur for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will travel successively to Romania and to Montenegro for a fact-finding visit, in the context of the preparation of his report on “The fate of critically ill detainees in Europe”.
In Bucharest, on 25 May, the rapporteur will meet representatives of the Ministry of Justice and of the National Administration of Penitentiaries, as well as parliamentarians and the Ombudsman.
In Podgorica, on 26 May, Mr Gross will have meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Justice and of the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, as well as with members of the Montenegrin delegation to PACE and the Ombudsman.
