The town of Bergen auf Rügen (Germany) will receive the Plaque of Honour of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Saturday, 5 September 2015.
Ms Marlene Rupprecht, Honorary Member of the Parliamentary Assembly, will present this distinction to reward the European efforts of this city which particularly distinguishes itself by its numerous exchanges with the twin towns (Oldenburg in Holstein-Germany, Goleniów in Poland, Svedala in Sweden and Palanga in Lithuania) in the fields of culture, sport, education and administration.
