Maryvonne Blondin (France, SOC) will be paying a working visiting to Norway on 22 and 23 October in the framework of the preparation of her report on "Guaranteeing equal rights and protecting women against violence in the armed forces".
In Lillestrøm she will meet with representatives of the Norwegian Institute for Defence (NID) and several members of the NID research team on gender equality in the armed forces.
In Oslo, she will notably have exchanges with members of the Norwegian delegation to PACE and members of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Storting, as well as with representatives of the Ombudsman for Equality and Non-discrimination, members of the Norwegian armed forces and the working group of the Ministry of Defence on military service.
