"I firmly condemn the mass sexual assaults perpetrated on 31 December in Germany and Switzerland”, said Sahiba Gafarova, PACE General Rapporteur on Violence against Women.
“These violations of women’s rights can neither be tolerated nor remain unpunished. All women should be protected from violence”, she continued.
Ms Gafarova called on the German and Swiss authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice and for the application of zero tolerance to violence against women.
