Maryvonne Blondin (France, SOC), rapporteur for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will make a fact-finding visit to Brussels on 23 February, in the context of the preparation of her report on “Guaranteeing equal rights and protecting women against violence in the armed forces”.
At NATO Headquarters, the rapporteur will meet the Special Representative of the Secretary General on Women, Peace and Security as well as Gender Advisors working within various NATO structures.
Meetings are also scheduled with the Deputy Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and with the Director of the NATO-PA Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security.
Ms Blondin will also meet representatives of EUROMIL (European Organisation of Military Associations).
