10/10/2023 Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development | Women@PACE | Parliamentary Network for a Healthy Environment
As part of Pink October, the Network of Parliamentarians for a Healthy Environment and the Women@PACE group will hold an exchange of views on “Breast cancer and the right to a healthy environment”, in the margins of the PACE plenary session.
Professor Carole Mathelin – an obstetrician-gynaecologist, Vice-Chairperson of the Senologic International Society for Europe and Head of the Senology Commission of the National College of French Gynaecologists – will seek to establish the link between environment and breast cancer, drawing on a study she has conducted.
Participants will also address the question of whether guaranteeing a healthy environment would reduce the risk of breast cancer?
October is breast cancer awareness month.
This exchange of views is scheduled for Tuesday 10 October from 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm in Room 11 (Palais).
