PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos, in the third episode of his new series of vodcasts posted today, talks to the current President of the European Court of Human Rights Dr Marko Bošnjak about the work of the Court, how judges are elected and how they deal with the many cases coming before them, including sensitive “political” cases.
In his "Round table with the President" vodcast, Dr Rousopoulos hosts leading figures from the world of human rights, democracy and the rule of law - and reflects together with them on what it means to uphold Council of Europe values.
In earlier vodcasts, he spoke to 2024 Havel Prize winner María Corina Machado about her struggle for political freedom in Venezuela, and to recently released Russian opposition leader Vladimir Kara-Murza about his experience of detention in Russia.
