The Assembly,
Having taken note of Resolution (56) 25 adopted on 15th December 1956 by the Committee of Ministers, instructing the Social Committee to direct its work towards the establishment of a European Social Charter in consultation with European employers' and trade union organisations;
Recalling that Resolution (56) 25 instructs the Social Committee to complete the drafting of t he Social Charter by 31st December 1957;
Recalling that this Resolution instructs the Social Committee " to consider measures for the implementation of t h e Social Charter such as will enable employers' and trade union organisations to assist in supervising its implementation";
Recalling the deep interest it has always taken in problems raised by the drafting and implementation of the Social Charter,
Requests that it be consulted by t he Committee of Ministers before the latter adopts the final text of the Social Charter.
