2. Noting the continuing work in this field by international bodies, national research institutions and government departments, and welcoming the concern for cultural property shown by the responsible European ministers ;
3. Stressing the importance of the continuing exchange of information, of further research and training ;
4. Concerned to collect a clearer and more comprehensive picture of the varied practice in member countries,
5. Asks its Committee on Culture and Education :
a to complete its survey of national practice ;
b to pursue co-operation with the competent bodies in this field, and in particular with the ministers responsible, in such matters as :
5.2.1 establishing a European forum for the exchange of information and experience in the field ;
5.2.2 investigating the utility of drawing up a code of practice relating to all or part of the risks involved.
