1. The Assembly,

2. Having taken note of the decision of the British, Danish and Irish Governments to open negotiations for membership of the European Economic Community ;

3. Wishing to be kept informed of the progress of the negotiations,

4. Decides to propose to the European Parliamentary Assembly that additional Joint Meetings of members of the two Assemblies should be held for the purpose of hearing and discussing together the progress reports of the negotiating body.
