In the draft resolution, after paragraph 1, insert the following paragraph:

"The Assembly reiterates its condemnation of the continuing human rights violations as a result of the 2008 war, including the grave violations of the principle of freedom of movement and right to return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) as a result of the occupation of the two breakaway regions of Georgia and the previous conflict."

Explanatory note

The Assembly's position on the continued violations of fundamental human rights of the internally displaced persons and refugees should remain resolutely condemning. The position of the Assembly on the source of the violation of rights should not differ from the position expressed in Resolution 1801 (2011).
