The Consultative Assembly of the
Council of Europe having appointed its Committees and proceeded to general
debates on its rôle regarding the problems of Europe, considers that its
Committee for Economic Affairs should proceed:
a to the hearing of specialised Ministers of the different countries,
members of the Council, concerning what measures they propose \taking to ensure
an effective economic co-operation between their countries and the other
European nations, with the ultimate aim of rapidly achieving a complete
economic union of Europe and of the overseas territories attached to
it.
b to the hearing of specialists working on the same
subjects in European international organisations with special reference to 0.
E. E. C, on the use of funds allocated to Europe by the Marshall Plan, in order
to ensure a co-ordinated and complementary development of European nations and
their overseas territories.
