In the draft resolution, before paragraph 16, insert the following paragraph:

"Furthermore, with a view to the accession of the European Union to the European Social Charter (revised) (ETS NO. 163) that has been repeatedly called for by the European Parliament, the Assembly calls on the European Union to increase the convergence of European Union law with the European Social Charter and calls on the member States to introduce an accession clause into the European Social Charter to allow for the accession by the European Union."
