1 Report of the
Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human
Rights
The Committee held a meeting in Paris on 20 September 2019
with Mr Olivier Becht (France, ALDE) (1st Vice-Chairperson),
in the Chair.
2 Introduction
The Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court
of Human Rights assessed the list of the candidates to the Court
in respect of Portugal.Note
3 Conclusion of
the Committee on the list of candidates submitted by Portugal
The Committee interviewed all the candidates on 20 September
2019.
The Committee recommends to the Assembly, by a narrow majority,
Ms Ana Maria Guerra Martins as the most qualified candidate, over
Mr José Luís Lopes da Mota.
