1 Report of the Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights

The Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human Rights held a meeting in Paris on 13 and 14 January 2025, with Ms Petra Bayr (Austria, SOC) in the Chair.

The committee assessed the lists of the candidates to the Court in respect of Slovenia, Armenia, and Andorra.Note

2 Conclusions of the committee on the lists of candidates submitted by Slovenia, Armenia, and Andorra

2.1 Slovenia

The committee interviewed all the candidates on 13 January 2025.

The committee recommends to the Assembly, by a narrow majority, Ms Vasilka Sancin as the most qualified candidate, over Mr Aleš Galič.

2.2 Armenia

The committee interviewed all the candidates on 13 January 2025.

The committee recommends to the Assembly, by a large majority, Mr Vahe Grigoryan as the most qualified candidate.

2.3 Andorra

The committee interviewed all the candidates on 14 January 2025.

The committee recommends to the Assembly, by a very large majority, Ms Canòlic Mingorance Cairat as the most qualified candidate.
