In the draft resolution, after paragraph 18.11, insert the following paragraph:

"collaborate with journalists and fact-checking organisations to effectively combat disinformation with information that adheres to the ethical and professional standards of journalism;"

Explanatory note

Social media platforms play a critical role in combating disinformation, which undermines democratic processes and public trust. By collaborating with fact-checking organisations that uphold journalistic standards, they can help ensure accurate information.
